Weekend Shout Outs!

The weekend is here, woo-hoo!!!

Bring on the fun!

Introducing two Newbies:

1. Chosen Berries (My good friend CB, please show her some love)
Three weeks back I felt my entire life was in turmoil. I was in a place in life where it felt like every cell within me was screaming Lord, where do I belong? where are you? Where am I heading? I took my lunch break off to stare through the window from the 9th floor of my office building.

2. Stories From A Page (This is my second blog, just testing the writing waters)

as soon as i figure it out, you will be among the first to know
….

Also, MOB love to the Blogren Twitter family; Nev, Brentaka, Darlkomu, Solomonking, Katawonga, Normzo, Jny23ug, helleNyana, cmugume, LBMugema, ugandangirl2, Mumakeith, AfroElle, jmakumbi, Payyoo, SleekandWild, rhinorck, zsamm, charli_kemi, bazanye and you

Calling All Ugandan Bloggers

Are you a Ugandan blogger? Do you want to win two tickets to the VIP opening of our major exhibition in Kampala? We will be holding a private preview of the “A New Dawn” exhibition (see the tab at the top of the page for more info) in one of Kampala’s smarter hotels on December 2nd. The Uganda Local Government Association (ULGA) and the Northern Uganda Transition Initiative (NUTI) are offering one lucky blogger and a friend the chance to attend and cover this exciting event. You will get an exclusive preview of our show before it opens to the general public, and it should make for a great blog post.

Here’s what you have to do!

– Re-post this post on your blog. We want the text AND the images.
– Tag your post with “North Uganda”, “Northern Uganda” and “A New Dawn”.
– Make sure the images link to http://www.facebook.com/dawn.new.
– Add ‘Dawn New’ as a friend on Facebook.

Two days before the VIP opening on December 2nd we will type the three tags into Google and the blog we find at the top of the search results will win two VIP tickets. We can’t cover transport or accommodation costs but for any serious blogger the chance to cover an event of this scale should be reward enough!

Young Acholi men play basketball in the late afternoon in Kitgum town. The town was repeatedly attacked during the war, but life is beginning to return to normal.

The exhibition will be open afterwards to the general public at the Railway Square, Kampala, from the 5th to the 10th of December, showcasing images of the peace and recovery of northern Uganda. Everybody is invited, so tell your friends!
