saying bye to a dear friend…

For the past few hours i knew what i wanted to say… However now it is all gone… My Tweepers know that yesterday I lost a dear sweet friend.

This is my farewell letter to her:

Dearest Jean,

You should know how yesterday was named “Black Tuesday”, and how the world on this side of the universe came to a stand still – Of course, it didn’t help that some of us were dressed in black.

Luv, you should see your friends profiles on facebook, it’s all awash with you. I’m guessing you never knew you would have such an impact on people. Lol, knowing you, you probably didn’t.

Friends across the globe and those that are far from home, are in serious shock. No one is sure what really happened, conflicting stories, and some really angry people in this place.

You would probably have smiled with your big eyes and said “Munange, that is life, hmph!” and then probably chased me out of your office :-)

Ours was a funny relationship, you were the only one that side of work, that i could actually have playful banter with. Forever chasing me away, demanding I give you some of the juice I used to give Rach, rolling your eyes and covering your face when I would pass by. Me, of course doing the exact same thing to you.

Many have been saying, “She was too young”, “Those hospitals are like that”, “Munange it was time”, “He gives and takes away”, “We should take care of our bodies” – (No one is listening to this guy)..And a whole bunch of other things. Today, there will be tears for you….

I think you lived life to the fullest…You loved unconditionally, you served the Lord anyway you could, You impacted lives with your giving heart, You played and smiled, You shared your talent every Sunday morning, You shared you life with those close to you, you mentored children. You did all this and yet you were just 25 years old.

You were a gift to this earth and now you are needed else where. Singing with the heavenly hosts…

dreamingEven though I know I’m going to miss you, I am glad I got to know you, glad that you came into my life when you did.

Lol, I know it must irk you that you are going to have to welcome me…when I see you on the other side

Love you always
